Ellie - Adopted

Maybe I’m related to a Chihuahua, but I am not sure - i think I am part of the Terrier clan though - I was just a tiny puppy when I found myself in a nasty place - I was in a wet, cold cage for a couple of days, very scared and alone - my foster mom found me there I guess, ‘cause she came running down the corridor, scooped me up, wrapped me in a soft blanket and took me home - I have not been afraid since - I am friendly, full of energy with my friends, playful, and love to find the most interesting toy around - I am house trained, I use a dog door if you will show me where it is - I love to snuggle away in my crate at night or I will sleep on the bed with you - either is fine since I know how to behave in the house or sleep quietly all night in the crate
My favorite thing is hugs, belly rubs and a walk in the park - or the neighborhood - I learned to walk nicely and try to always walk beside you, or in front so I can sniff the goodies - at home I will let you know if someone comes to the house, or if there is an intruder, say a stray cat, in the back yard - I like to chase the Doves even though my foster mom has asked me not to do this - I just can’t resist - my best pal is a sweet Chihuahua called Paris - we have the most exciting races around the yard, behind the benches, in and out of the sofa legs - then we crash on the recliner to catch our breath
I love kids, but they should not be too little, maybe 8 years old or more, cause I like to nibble a bit and find it hard to just lick - although I’m good at that too - I am learning to play ball, so an older kid who knows how to throw a ball and roll it for me to grab would be ideal - I think I would like to learn other tricks as well, and older kids are good for this
Overall I am just about perfect - I am young, maybe a year old, so I have enthusiasm for life, energy to go for walks, and the sense to sit still when I am being pampered - I love that especially if it involves a soft, loving lap and sweet talk - I have found that both men and women are good at pampering, so I love both kinds of humans
So if you are a man or a woman who could love a very sweet, soft girl with lots of cream hair that could use a brush occasionally, don’t search any further - I ‘m your girl!
