Salami - Adopted!
Hi, I'm Salami! I'm a corgi mix pup (only around 9 months old) in need of a forever home. I really am a great little dude. At about 20 lbs and fully grown, I'm energetic and love the outdoors! I have the cutest ears - they are so big on my little head! When I'm curious they stand straight up!
I can play fetch (though I don't understand the whole 'give the ball back' once i've got it! I just chased the darn thing to catch it!). I walk OK on a leash and when calm I know to sit for treats. I am housebroken! Woohoo!
I'd be great with a busy family with kids or people who love to play in the day time and snuggle in the evening. Because when I'm done running around that's ALL I want to do! Snuggle with my nose in your lap, or over your shoulder up against your neck (my favourite spot!) I give sweet little kisses. I really do have the sweetest disposition. I'm very tolerant with children.
I am used to being crated at night. I am not excessively noisy, but if someone I don't know comes up I will bark to let you know! Oh did I mention how much I love riding in the car? With my nose out the window a crack so I can smell all the smells and see all the sights!
Do you have other dogs? I'm very well socialized as before I went into foster care, the lady who rescued me was the manager of a vet clinic! There were always new doggy friends to play with there! In my foster home I play well with all the other dogs too. I also LOVE playing at the dog park!
So how does an awesome guy like me end up homeless? I was found wandering as a pup by a kind lady who took me in and was looking for a new home for me. I was so stressed that I got a little skin infection caused by skin mites called 'demodex'. This is NOT contagious and I'm almost all cleared up on the meds they gave me. She trained me and socialized me so that I'd be a great dog in my new home.
So what are you waiting for? Call today to arrange to meet me in person. You could be the 'forever home' i've been waiting for.
