Becky is a very cute, 8 year old, spayed female, Shih Tzu mix. She is a small lapdog who can be rather playful. She is good with other dogs of all sizes, as well as cats. She is the sweetest and most loving little dog. She becomes the happiest dog in the world when you wake up and say hi to her. She only barks when she is playing, if you leave her alone on a bed, or when she wants to come in from going to the bathroom. She goes to the back door when she needs to go outside.
Becky was a breeding dog (possibly from a backyard breeder) in Oklahoma, and when she couldn’t have anymore puppies they dumped her in front of their city shelter. She was then picked up and brought to us. She is a special needs dog with some medical issues that will need to be monitored throughout her life. Becky is missing her right eye, do to major puncture trauma, but on closer inspection perhaps she is just winking at you! Witnessing Becky’s playfulness you will never guess that she has a heart murmur, an abnormal heart rhythm and a lesion on her heart. This said, she doesn’t let it slow her down. She loves life and lives it to its fullest enjoying every moment. She always wants to look her best, and maintain her lovely Shih Tzu coat, so she will need to be groomed regularly. She would like to sleep on the bed, and she needs a nice playful canine companion.
Becky needs home with someone who is home all day to shower her with lots of love and attention. Due to her medical conditions, she will need someone who is willing and has the ability to take her to the vet routinely to ensure that she has the care she needs. If Becky sounds like the perfect little girl for you, please call the NMAF Office @ 881-7297 to arrange a meeting! She can’t wait to meet you!
