Aurora - Adopted!

Aurora is a beautiful 2 year old, female, Terrier mix. She has soft, medium length, white and tan fur. She is a smaller dog at about 20 pounds.

Aurora is a wonderful little dog. She can be very shy, especially with men, but when she settles down and gets to know you, she is very sweet and loving. She is always happy to see you and wants to be with you all of the time. She is treat motivated and knows how to sit and stay. She likes to sleep on the bed and couch with her foster mom. Aurora appears to be good with cats and is good with other smaller dogs.

She came to us from the shelter in Artesia. She had a piece of copper wire wrapped around her neck as a collar and appears to have been abused. She was also covered in fleas and matted with knots so tight it was pulling her skin and making it really red. She has been clipped, had a flea bath, and is super excited to find a good home!

Aurora needs a kind and patient family who have plenty of time, love, and attention to give to her. She will need some daily exercise and she would love a nice yard to explore. She would do best in a home with no children and only one other dog. She would also love to be able to continue sharing the bed and couch with her new family.
