“Hello, my name is Heidi. I am one of the most beautiful cats you have ever seen… trust me! I was rescued from a feral colony, and the NMAF volunteers who trapped me didn’t realize what a sweetheart I was, so they prepared me to be released back to my old neighborhood. That’s why my left ear tip is clipped. While I was recovering from being spayed, they quickly discovered that I was extremely friendly. I am very much a cat’s cat. The dogs that I’ve seen from my perch at the adoption clinic so far have seemed like critters I could get along with. I tolerate most cats, but my preferred companions are humans, so be prepared to get some good loving from me if I end up living with you! I like nothing more than to sit in your lap as you watch a movie or read a book. I am a cat, however, so I don’t feel sociable 100% of the time. If I am not in the mood to socialize I may let you know by swatting, but, have no fear, I usually keep my claws in, so you get the benefit of feeling how soft I keep my paw pads. I can be as silly as a kitten and enjoy playing either by myself or with you while you wave a wand toy with a feather on the end for me. I love using scratching posts and like to have both the vertical and horizontal kinds around the house. I am exceedingly furry and will need regular grooming. My foster home is full of cats and I long to live in a house that is not as “crowded”. Please consider adopting me! I promise to entertain you or to simply spellbind you with my gorgeous green eyes!"
