Candy is a 3-year-old spayed female. I began life as a kitten rescued from a feral cat colony and was quite feral until this past May when I began my new life at my foster parent’s home. My foster mom has trained me to come to her and be petted (especially if she has a treat in her hand – my favorite is canned tuna), but I really love a home with many other cats. I am not so sure I would thrive in a home with dogs since I have never been around dogs. My ideal home would have other feline companions and be patient since I am just beginning to understand that humans can also make great companions. Please consider adopting me if you can provide this type of forever family and home.

Cassidy (Cassie) is a BEAUTIFUL 6-year-old black and white long-haired spayed female. What a loving cat! Friendly and outgoing--her favorite spot is at your side or right on your lap. Great at using her scratching post and litterbox. Cassie requires a special diet with supplements.

La Tinta - 1 year old, spayed female, DSH (oriental short hair mix), Dark Tortoishell. La Tinta was rescued from the Albuquerque Animal Shelter after all of her kittens had been placed into loving homes. She walks on a leash and will oftentimes be at the adoption clinic sitting a top a cat tree. She gets along well with other cats and dogs. She is very playful and loves toy mice and fishing pole cat toys. She would make a wonderful addition to anyone's home: "I am a wonderful cat who gets along well with children, dogs, and other cats. I am very playful and my favorite toys are any feather cat toys. I walk on a harness and leash and I have so much energy that my foster mom thinks that my motto should be "Why walk, when I can run." My perfect home would be one that would give me lots of love and attention and play with me in the evenings."

My name is Lucy, and I'm a lovely five-year-old spayed female who loves other cats and playing with toy mice and balls. I have excellent litter box habits. My favorite time to cuddle and be petted is at night time after you lay down in bed. I prefer to sleep on the bed with you. I love to be petted and will greet you with a meow. Currently, I spend a lot of the daytime underneath a bed because of a dominant female cat at my foster mom’s home, but would thrive in a home that does not have dominant cats. My ideal home would be one that is patient (because I will be shy at first and want to hide), has a quiet lifestyle, and would provide a lot of love and petting.

Here are Mamacita and her kitten Cosette. Mamacita is a lovely tabby calico with beautiful eyes. Mamacita is around one year old (D.O.B circa 4/1/06), and is spayed. Cosette was born around 3/21/07, and is a gorgeous mackerel tabby with striking gray and black markings. "We love to play and we love being brushed! We are very attached to each other and do not want to be parted. Mamacita says: I hate dogs! I love people! Cosette says: I love shoelaces and back scratches!" They will make a fantastic furry family for someone without dogs or very young children.

Hello, I'm Ophelia, a 5-year-old medium-hair black kitty with huge, gorgeous eyes. I was found nearly entirely paralyzed but I am almost entirely recovered. I love to be picked up and cuddled and especially love sitting on laps. I love attention but I am not obnoxious about it. I am very gentle, and when I play I almost never use my claws. I would be a great addition to a quiet house with a small or very gentle dog, maybe another cat, or older children. I would especially be a great cat for retired people or people who work from home because I would keep you company all day long!

Hello, I'm Pookie, and I'm a male black & white shorthair, just over a year old. I was rescued when I was just a few months old and was in need of some vet care, but now I'm all healthy! My foster mom wishes she could keep me because I'm a really sweet little guy! However, she has her legal limit of cats already, so I need a new home. I have perfect litterbox habits and love to play. I'd love to sleep in your bed with you at night, and follow you sometimes during the day to see if I can sit on your lap or just be near you. I have a sweet kittenish meow. Ragmuffin is a sweet female gray and white medium-hair, one to two years old. She was rescued after being abandoned for at least 6 months. When we first found her she looked like a rag doll. TomTom, the Feline Ambassador, is a gorgeous 9-year-old neutered male. He is super-soft, buff color with white bib and markings. TomTom is a retired feline ambassador to the Albuquerque Public Schools humane education program who lost his home in October 2004 when his loving caretaker died. Super-loving, playful, outgoing and friendly, good with gentle dogs, must be the only cat due to a chronic health condition that is under control with a special diet and supplements. He has perfect litterbox habits and loves his scratching post. TOM-TOM NEEDS A FOSTER HOME!
