Chocolate
Chocolate is a neutered male, Smooth Coated Border Collie mix with a dark chocolate coat with lighter brown tips. He is approximately 8 months old and will be medium size, probably 45-50 pounds when grown. Handsome and attentive, this boy is eager to please his humans. He responds well to a kind, calm, but firm voice and learns quickly. "Choco" is a delightful, sweet, funny, and gentle pup still at the chewing stage. In his foster home, Chocolate is fine in the house overnight. Heuses a doggy door and is well behaved int he house if in during the day. His activity level is normal for a young dog and he loves to play outside with his buddies. Probably would love to go hiking, walking. He rides well int he car. he does rough-house with doggy playmates so if he has a doggy roommate, he or she will need to set ther ules or be willing to play actively. Chocolate needs gentle introductions when he meets new dogs...they can frighten him, so he needs an owner who will not allow other dogs that chocolate doesn't know to overrun him...like at a dog park. Border Collies are an intelligent working breed so his owner should expect to give this gentle puppy plenty of time to play, maybe Frisbee? Ball? Or a big yard with a companion and lots of chew bones and toys. Chocolate is good with cats, but the herding instinct comes out with stock, so if he has a country home, that behavior will need direction.
