Osita - Adopted!
Osita (Cita for short) is an adorable 3 year old, spayed female, Border Terrier mix. She has short, blonde wiry hair and she weighs about 10-12 pounds.
This wonderful dog came to us from the City of Albuquerque shelter where she had been for about 2 weeks. She was surrendered by her family who was moving and, unfortunately, couldn’t take her with them.
Cita is timid with new people but she is also a very sweet little dog. She is a great lap dog and loves just being with you. She loves to lay on the bed and couch with her foster mom. She doesn’t really play with toys and is learning how much fun playing with other dogs is. She is great with other dogs and is good around cats. She is unsure of how dangerous the resident rabbits are so, when she is outside and they move, she runs in the opposite direction.
She is appears to be house trained; she waits until someone lets her out. She is still learning about the convenience of a doggy door. Cita is leash trained, but she needs more interaction with a harness. She loves going out for walks or rides in a car. She is very smart and she aims to please.
Cita needs a loving family who has enough time to spend with her and who will give her all of the love and attention she deserves. She will need plenty of daily exercise and playtime, and she would love a yard to explore and run in. She would do best in a home with at least one other dog and a nice bed & couch to sleep on with her new family. Because she is so shy, Cita will need a home with very respectful or older children.
