Miss Lucy is a 55 pound, three year old Poodle/Boxer. She has been with an owner since she was 14 weeks old. She is very smart and learns new behaviors and commands quickly. She is potty trained and will alert you when she needs to go outside. She is kennel trained, her kennel is a refuge for her and a place where she can relax, she sleeps in it and hangs out there when you are gone. She is very secure with herself and has no signs of separation anxiety.

Her favorite things are going for walks/hikes/runs, playing fetch and tug of war, dribbling her basketball around the backyard with her nose, splashing in her mini pool and playing with other dogs. She will do well if you are able to direct her energy.

Miss Lucy is very trainable and knows many commands such as "sit", "wait", "out", "kennel", "lay", and others. She rides in the car with no problem, she rarely barks, and can walk on a leash well.

She LOVES kids and dogs BUT should be supervised with them. She is very gentle with a 4 month old child but when she is around an energetic child she may need help controlling her excitement. She regularly plays at Camp Bow Wow with other dogs. She could do well with an older wiser dog who can help her regulate her energy and teach her to relax a bit. With the right companion dog Lucy could be really happy, happier than being the only dog at home.

Miss Lucy's ideal home would have a slightly older wiser dog, parents who are home most of the time, (possibly) children who are school age or older, someone who is active and will commit to walking her daily, someone who knows how to work with her enthusiastic behaviors, and lastly, someone who will love and connect with her.

She will reward you with her loyal companionship, a constantly wagging tail and being an exercise companion.
