Percy - Adopted!
Email Karon at kcely@msn.com or call (505)281-0330 to set up a special meet and greet or for more information about Percy.
PERCY is a little guy with big eyes, an adorable face and expressive ears. Alert, observant, quiet, playful, willful, cuddly, calm, energetic, joyful, silly, obedient all describe Percy well. Percy wants lots of play time or exercise so he can be a good boy when he is supposed to be the calm, quiet, obedient Percy. But if you want the playful, energetic, bouncy, silly Percy just take him for a run or pair him with another energetic canine friend. He will play tug of war with other willing canine friends or race in endless circles chasing his play buddy. He will bounce like a tennis ball when he is excited. Probably will do best in a home with another companion who is calm in the house. We say this because Percy does not like to be left behind. We have found that if Percy has brisk exercise or walk time before you leave him in the house he will sleep while you are gone. If Percy doesn’t get enough playtime he will make up entertaining games in the house when you leave. Shoes, etc can make for great play toys. Percy doesn’t appreciate being left in the crate while you go off and have fun without him so we are looking for a home who will give this little boy plenty of “wear Percy out” time and spare the crate. The willful Percy will test your leadership skills. But Trust us because this little gentleman knows his manners and his sit and stay. However, he will test you to see if you are going to make him mind. If someone comes to the house, then Percy is sure that the visitor is “his” visitor and will insist he beat you to the door and then heap “his” guest with an overabundance of joy. Make him sit and stay to remind him who is boss and you are well on your way to making a great team with this fun and affectionate little guy. Oh yes, if you like a bed warmer, this little cuddle muffin is up to the job, or….if you insist…he will sleep obediently under the bed or in his own bed. Percy appears to be frightened of cats so we are uncertain how he will react in a household with cats. He did growl and snap at the cat he was tested with when the cat got face to face, but appeared non aggressive when not face to face.
