Petunia - Adopted!
Contact (500)453-5980 for more information about Petunia.
Petunia is a beautiful little Poodle/possible Lhasa mix, who is approximately 7 years old. She was surrendered at the shelter in early March because her owner had died. It is clear that Petunia's owner loved her very much as she is quite personable, well-trained, and has no negative behavioral traits. She arrived with a torn ACL and has had recent surgery to correct this; however, she is recovering quickly and on track and is available for adoption immediately. Petunia likes to walk on a leash, but doesn't care much for car rides! She stays wherever her human is and will curl up on a cushion nearby. She sleeps on a cushion on the floor next to the bed and does not get up on the furniture. She has a very sunny disposition and in recent weeks has made an excellent office dog--in that she has gone to work daily with her foster mom while in recovery and greets clients at the door.
If you are interested in learning more about Petunia, you can call her foster mom @ 453-5980 or see her on Saturdays at the NM Animal Friends Adoption Event at Petsmart.
