“Diesel” is a lovable young man and…a very lucky guy. This beguiling floppy eared Shepherd cross was traveling on route 66, either deserted or lost, when he was hit by a car. He was brought to Vista Larga Animal Hospital in Edgewood on January 28th with a dislocated hip, a fractured hock and lots of road rash. The loving staff there operated on him and cared for him and got him back on his feet. While he was there he was neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. After tons of love and rehab he is ready to find his forever home. This sweet, playful, and affectionate boy is about 60 lbs, 1 ½ years young and has tons of energy! He is currently sporting a funky haircut from his surgeries but he has a beautiful hair coat. Diesel is a clever boy, learns quickly and is very food motivated so easy to train! Diesel loves people and just wants to be right with you all the time. This little fellow has a big heart and a joyful personality, enjoys children and has been around a toddler and a six year old with absolutely no problems. This guy is likely to turn out to be the perfect dog for a family with kids. The clinic says he gets along great with other animals and likes to play. They think that as he matures, he may want to be top dog (in a nice way) so it is might be best that any furry companions not mind if he is the boss.
Please contact Vista Larga Animal Hospital at 505-281-7100 if interested in this handsome fellow. If the clinic is closed you can also email them at contact@vistalarga.com and they will either email or call back to schedule a meeting. Be sure to leave your name and number. Adoption fee of $150 required.
