Born: 1/2008
Hi, I’m Sally Sue!
I came to live with my foster mom, Liz, when my human mom passed away in 2015. That was a scary time for my sister Ellie Mae and me. But Liz rescued us both and brought us to New Mexico Animal Friends so that we could find a new home.
I am in excellent health. As you see, I have a beautiful medium-long white fur coat with gray tabby markings, and I do my very best to keep it smooth and sleek!
I love to go outside in my “catio” where I do my professional bird-watching. (The wish-list in my Audubon collector's book is growing every day!) I love to go outside at night and bask in the warm summer breeze, listening to the songs of the crickets. Catios are great fun! Every cat should have one!
Liz tells me that my house manners, including my litter box etiquette, are truly perfect. I use my scratching posts and my Turbo Scratcher for claw sharpening, not the furniture. I like to play in my water dish very delicately, and I love to munch on dry cat food, too.
My sister and I are good buddies, and we would be happy to find a home together. (But I think I might do okay by myself in a new home, too.)
I get along well with humans, but I’m a little coy in the beginning and like to take a little time getting to know someone new. My foster mom is practicing holding me on her lap for a few moments at a time, and I like it! If you will give me a chance to be held, I may work myself up to even longer holding sessions, and then maybe even an all-nighter!
