Juneau found herself far from home as a stray at a local shelter. She was skin and bones (weighing in at 49 lbs when we rescued her), but still had a twinkle in her eye and a wag of her tail. We found her at the shelter and took her into NMAF. She is a beautiful girl, with hair the color of the NM landscape and eyes the color of NM skies. Once we had Juneau in our care we discovered she was expecting little ones within the next week or two. We let her get settled in to her new foster home where she meticulously made a soft and loving bed for her little ones and we began feeding her nourishing food. Juneau should not be in a home with cats as she is extremely interested in them.

Juneau will be available to go to her forever home once her puppies are weaned. Her puppies will be available to go to their forever homes once they are weaned and old enough. PUPPY UPDATE!

Hooray! Just before midnight, on May 4th, Juneau gave birth to her first puppy! We'll update the website as the others arrive!

We are celebrating Cinco De Mayo today with the birth of five adorable puppies! Juneau gave birth to one puppy on May 4th and the other four puppies on May 5th! She is a proud and wonderful momma and loves her babies. The puppies are a beautiful brown color; some with white markings. We look forward to see how they change in looks and develop their own personalities over the next few weeks. Stay tuned in as we will share more information soon . . . . . including the sexes of the 5 puppies!

The puppies are doing well and are very healthy. Juneau is a wonderful mom. As promised, we are letting you know that there are 3 female and 2 male puppies.
