Bart
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is a courtesy listing only and is neither connected to nor being offered for adoption through NMAF.
Bart was found walking down the street around sunset. Smart dog - he was walking in the bike lane. I opened my car door and not only did he come over with tail wagging but proceeded to climb in the car so here we are. He needs an active, lively home. He loves to go for walks and is well behaved. He is puppyish but is house trained and with proper entertainment he doesn't destroy things though he has been known to relocate a few shoes. He gets along well with our skitterish Heeler cross but she's not as thrilled about playing as he is. He is also thrilled about company and is friendly to all. Not so sure about cats but probably not.
He needs to be an indoor dog, but he needs a safe, fenced yard. He enjoys sunbathing and romping around. He passed the good disposition test at Camp Bow Wow and plays with all the dogs. He has done well in the dog parks. He's a Pit/Lab mix and weighs about 55 pounds. He is now neutered, chipped and has all shots up to date. He has some mysterious scars on his back and head. The back scar requires occasional oiling until it heals better. Who knows what he's been through but we know for sure that now he needs a forever loving home.
