Kally - Adopted!

Kally is a beautiful 2-3 year old female Border Collie/Lab mix and weighs 50 lbs. She is very sweet, loving and outgoing. She loves people and is great with other dogs, cats and kids. She is calm most of the time but if she sees a chance to play with someone or something she will take it. She uses a doggy door but she isn’t fully house trained yet. Kally is very smart and catches on to things quickly. A sweeter, smarter and more gentle dog will be very hard to find.

Kally’s family was moving and left her and another dog in their back yard for at least a week with no food or water. They were able to get out of the yard and roam the streets where Rio Rancho Animal Control pick them up. The owners were called and they went to the shelter and picked up the other dog and left her there. She was there for 3½ weeks before we got to her. She is just a wonderful dog that deserves a nice family that won’t abandon her again.

Kally needs a kind and loving family who will give her all of the love and attention she deserves. She will, also, need lots of daily exercise and playtime. Kally would do best in an active house with another playful canine companion, and she would love to have a nice big bed and/or couch to sleep on with her new family.
