Missy - Adopted!
Missy is a beautiful, rare brindle colored Chihuahua who weighs approximately 4 pounds and is about 4 months old. She was given away to people who did not want her and they were going to give her away again. Fortunately she was rescued by NMAF. She is very tiny and quite fragile, thus she will not be placed in a home with children under 10 years old.
Missy loves to play and is very good with other dogs after she gets used to them. She played with my two male dogs very well. She has not been tested with cats, although she is young enough to get used to them. She is working on her toilet habits and if a doggie door is available, it will have to be the small one with the plastic flap. She was way too small to use the doggie door in my house which is a large opening with an aluminum flap. She appears very smart and I think she would catch on to using a doggie door quickly if a small light one was available.
Because she is so small, Missy is easily frightened. She shakes when she is scared, and may growl and snap if approached when she is afraid. However, once she feels comfortable in her surroundings, she becomes a love bug. She is very sweet and loves to be held and to give "kisses". She is truly a "lap dog". Missy will make a wonderful companion for the person willing to give her an opportunity to feel secure. If you are that special person, please call and ask about little Missy. She is a sweetheart!
