Nieko is a neutered, male Newfoundland mix approximately 1-2 years old. He just loves and is very playful with all dogs! He is mindful of older ones and would love a playmate because he has enough energy to engage a friend. Nieko settles into the indoor routine when asked. Nieko has no fostered experienced with young children. He is learning commands and tries very hard to please. Nieko loves to play with stuffed toys and tennis balls. He is comfortable in his crate and seeks it out at night to sleep inside the house. At other times he is comfortable on his bed. Nieko needs additional training and reinforcement on house-training, but is coming along well and with a doggie door or other outside access, will be reliable in no time at all. He is not a barker, but knows how to and when to be alert to changes in his environment. An ideal home for Nieko would be one with space and a canine companion to happily pass the day until exercise time comes around.
