Ginger - Adopted!
Ginger is a 6-9 month old precious shepard mix. She is primarily black but has some brindle coloring on her legs and paws and she has gold "eyebrows". To say that she is beautiful is an understatement.
She came from a very bad situation in Artesia, NM. She was abandoned and had no way of fending for herself. Luckily, she has ended up with NMAF and is growing happier and happier with each passing day.
She was brought to her foster mom around the middle of January. She was very shy and hesitant. She clearly needed some socializing with people. The good news is that she loves, loves, loves other dogs. She lives with 3 other dogs right now and they are the "ambassadors" that let her know that people aren't so bad. This has helped tremendously and now she wags her entire body when she gets hugs, kisses and toys from her foster mom.
She is submissive to other dogs which makes it easy for her to fit into any home that has other dogs. She would do well in a home with or without other dogs, at this point. She clearly is capable of bonding with dogs or people. She has not been around cats or children so it is unknown how that would go.
She is potty trained for the most part. There are occasional accidents at night. During the day she stands at the back door when she needs to go outside for a potty break.
She is coming along with her leash training. She has improved greatly from the days where she would just sit there on her leash and you had to drag her :)
She is spayed and has all of her shots and her microchip. She is a very healthy girl.
