Buttercup - Adopted!

Hi I'm Buttercup! Here's a few things you should know about me and how awesome I am!
I'm a mutt. Bonafide - I have the best of many breeds all in one doggy package!
Like my yellow coat, I have a sunny personality.I'm loving happy spirit.
I'm a great medium size. Around 45 lbs and I wont get any bigger.
I'm house-trained, will use a doggy door, and am used to being crated (with a chew toy please!)
I'm around 2 yrs old. Still a puppy, but with out all the puppy habits.
I ride in the car like a champ!
I am good on a gentle leader harness.
I know commands! I am a quick learner! I love to PLEASE YOU! I know "Sit", "Down", "Wait", "Load up", and "GET OFF THAT DAMN COUCH!!!"
I am a creature of routine. It takes about a week or two, but once I know what time you guys like to get up, go to bed, and leave for work I will fit right in.
I have lived and played well with toddlers, 6 week old puppies, and elderly canines
I like chew toys! Especially when I'm alone. Give me a bone, and leave me in a quiet room or a crate so that I don't get too anxious when you're not there.


I've been waiting for my forever family. Sometimes people come along, and even though they love me its just not quite the right fit for either of us. I want us both to be happy so here are some things that might make us not the right fit:
If you are Older or Ill you may not be able to give me the exercise or firm hand on a leash I need to keep my attention.
If you're too shy or timid to tell me "NO" in a firm voice.
If you are a cat lover... I'm afraid I like cats, too, but not as friends.. More like lunch.
I am NOT an outdoor dog - I am used to sleeping inside at the end of your bed, or in a crate with a chew toy. If you'd like me to sleep outside, try a pet rock.
If you don't like loving cuddly silly dogs I'm not the one for you. Try a pet rock.
If you want a dog that doesn't shed even just a little, Maybe try a pet rock?
Here are some things that might mean we're soul mates!
If you like getting your feet licked. I give doggie pedicures.
If you like company. I will go everywhere you go. If you get up in the middle of the night, I will get up with you. If you go hiking, I'll go too.
If you like security. Once I bond with you, I will protect you. Forever. I will bark if I think there is a threat.
If you like exercise. I will motivate you to get off your couch! We can go for walks, hiking, to the dog park or even just a game of fetch in the yard!
If you like laughing. I will chase my stub tail, make silly faces, and generally act like a goofball to make you laugh!
If you have other dogs that need a friend. I'm a great buddy for them!
If you have kids that need a friend.

If you like me, please call my foster mum and dad Lucy and Michael on 505-264-9707 for more info about how to meet me! You can also see me every Saturday 11am-2pm at Petsmart on Academy. It's a great idea to call my foster family first though to make sure they know you're coming!
