My name is MaggieMay but you can call me"M&M" for short! I'm as sweet as the chocolate candy and can be as flexible as all the flavors available. Of course I can also cut loose and be pretty nutty.

I lived with my family since a puppy then one day they decided they no longer wanted me. I can't figure out what I did wrong and I was as sad and confused as a handful of melted chocolate M&M's. It wasn't long before NMAF found me and I am as happy and as sweet as M&M’s again. I know NMAF will help me find the perfect family with the unquenchable sweet tooth!

Not long after I arrived at NMAF I found a home but sadly one of the residents was allergic to me so I was returned. I then found out the allergy wasn’t the least of my problems. It appeared that along the way as I was checking out the new sights and smells of the neighborhood I ended up tasting something that I shouldn’t have and developed ‘toxicity due to an unknown source’. I was so, so scared and so, so seriously ill. I gazed into my foster mom’s eyes and told her that I really didn’t feel well. My foster mom cuddled me so tight and cried crocodile tears because she thought I wasn’t going to beat the nasty toxicity. But I was determined to show her I would beat it . . . . . and show her I did! After spending 4 days and 3 nights in the hospital she took me home. It was a wonderful reunion with the resident doggies and to be able to sleep as close as I was able to my foster mom. It has taken me several days and a special diet to get me to feeling better. I even had the energy and interest in playing with one of my canine buddies today! What fun that was! I will have to go back to the doctor again to make sure my lab work has stabilized. What we don’t know is if this will cause any long term side effects BUT what we do know is that it won’t take away from my charming personality or my ability to love my new family unconditionally.

I am happy girl and promise to be devoted to my new family. I am looking for a home that will love me unconditionally and will never let me want for anything. I also look forward to sleeping in a soft bed or a comfy lap. Although I'm really a puppy at heart I think I was born in late 2011 or early 2012.
