Meet Dante! He is a handsome male Shepherd mix puppy born approximately mid-December 2016. If you know the story of Dante's Inferno, this little guy's story will make sense to you as he has already been through hell. Found abandoned and screaming in a random front yard by some kindly strangers, he was suffering from a severely dislocated jaw and bleeding from facial injuries. We don't know if it was human or vehicle caused but suspect the former. The caring staff at VCA Wyoming took him in and fixed him up - he is now safely in Foster care and doing just fine. As an active, inquisitive and mischievous puppy, Dante will need a family familiar with Shepherds as well as puppy training so he can become the best dog possible. He is already sleeping in a crate and working on potty training. He is affectionate and playful and would do best in a home without young children. It is very important he continue socialization with other dogs and could work well with another calm dog to teach him the ropes.

Once Dante has received all of his shots and microchip and has been neutered, he can be adopted. Ask about our Foster-to-Adopt Program for puppies which allows them to go to their Forever Homes before all vetting is done!
