Talk about a handsome boy! Wow, you need to meet Dug as he meets the definition of handsome! He is a beautiful Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever mix. Such a great combination of dog breeds. Dug was found as a stray and never claimed so when NMAF spotted him at the shelter, we knew we needed to help him find a forever home.

Dug is such an easy going boy. He settled into his foster home as if he had lived there forever. He loves the interaction and companionship of dogs and people and hasn’t met anyone he doesn’t like. In short, he gets along great with dogs and people of all sizes, and his tail never stops wagging.

Dug likes to play fetch, but hasn't quite gotten the idea that he has to give the ball back before it can be thrown again! He is smart boy so will figure this out very soon. Especially if he wants to chase the ball more than once! In Dug’s eyes ‘Life is Great’! He is the happiest goof ball!

Dug is house trained and knows commands such as sit, down, and shake hands. His foster is currently working on the commands of stay and 'go in your crate'. Dug is a very quiet dog; no barking or whining. He rides well in the car, and also likes his quiet moments when he's just being petted or having his belly rubbed. He would love to have a canine companion and will do well as a companion to go with you on hikes or to explore walking trails.
