Lucy, an adorable Pug mix, was surrendered with her sister to the Valencia County Animal Shelter and they were separated and put up for adoption. At almost 14 pounds, she is not expected to grow because she is approximately 1-2 years of age, has already been spayed, and is updated on all her shots.
Lucy is a fun-loving, energetic, and spirited dog who loves to play with her foster siblings and chew on bones. She will play "fetch" for hours! She is not at all aggressive, plays well with other dogs, and has never met a human she didn't like.
Lucy learns quickly and understood how to "sit" and use the dog door in about two minutes flat! She is doing very well in her leash and potty training and sleeps through the night.
Lucy is a quiet dog and only barks to let you know something important. She sits quietly in a crate and travels well in a car. She does not protest at all when you leash her or pick her up and is a favorite at the vet for her sweet and docile demeanor.
She has a healthy appetite and will be grateful for anything you put in front of her. She has short hair and appreciates a warm coat when temperatures drop.
Lucy is independent and plays well by herself for extended periods with chew toys and bones; however, also enjoys cuddling up on the couch with her person and loves to rest her head on your chest and look up at you with her very cute, Puggish eyes.
Lucy would enjoy living with a family of people and other animals who can give her the love, exercise, play time, and attention she deserves.
