Do you remember the old TV show, "Sergeant Preston of the Yukon" from the late 50's? Well meet PRESTON of NMAF, just like his namesake, handsome & intelligent as can be! PRESTON is a gorgeous black, male German Shepherd of approximately six to seven months. He appears to be full blooded GSD but we can't be sure w/o DNA testing however. He is currently about 60 pounds and still growing.

He loves people, and absolutely loves attention. He sleeps well in a crate at night and is not destructive outside while his family is away at work. He does very well with his two big foster siblings, playing and sharing toys with them. He is a great jogger and as a higher energy dog, would do well in a family where there is one to keep him well exercised. Currently a bit shy of fast-moving cars, this can be managed with training and time. He shows calm and happy interest in other passing dogs on walks, and never reacts in a negative way whatsoever.

Found as a stray, he doesn't appear used to being out in the world too much, but loves experiencing new things. He is a typical GSD and should go to a Forever Home that has experience with this breed and is committed to providing him formal training or has trained one previously. German Shepherds are highly intelligent, loyal, curious, alert and confident with the right training & exercise.
