Lara
Lara was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation while she was nursing kittens. She and her litter were taken to Albuquerque Animal Care Center (AACC) where they were fostered by a kind home until the kittens were old enough to be spayed/neutered, and they were put up for adoption. AACC then asked NMAF to take Lara so that she could have a chance to recuperate both physically and emotionally in a foster home -- she's a sweet and gentle kitty but was very nervous in the shelter environment. She's doing well now in her present foster home, is eating great and using the litterbox like an old hand. She is best friends with Cleo.
