Lexi is a true cutie pie! Happy, good-natured and friendly, Lexi would make a great family pet or companion for an active adult. At approximately 1 yr old and just under 20 pounds, she is sturdy enough for long hikes and play romps with bigger dogs, and she can stand up to the rigors of children. Originally bred to participate in fox-hunts, digging foxes out of their burrows for the hunters to chase, Border Terriers still have a strong chase drive (so Lexi may not do well with cats) but are very social with other dogs and people. The Border Terrier breed is quoted as being "wonderful companions who play hard and love harder". We believe Lexi is a mix as her tail is curled, not straight, but her coat and other features are very much border-terrier-like as is her personality. She is not a terrier breed that is hypoallergenic. She was just spayed and is up-to-date on all shots and tested negative for heartworm. She uses a doggie door and sleeps in a crate. If you have room in your heart and home for this girl, get in touch through the contact listed above.
