This young lady is such a pretty, playful and affectionate girl!! We believe her to be about 2 years old and she is full grown at 45 pounds. She has a pretty white chest and beautiful flecking on her white socks. She may be an Australian Shepherd cross, possibly with some smooth coat collie, maybe a touch of chow to give her the pretty chestnut colored coat. Who really knows? She is not telling and we can only guess.

She is good on a leash and good with other dogs. She has a happy personality and wiggles with puppylike enthusiasm. Her tail wags constantly. She can be slightly withdrawn in a new situation so needs more exposure to the big world, but once she has gotten acquainted with you she is happy to crawl in your lap for hugs.

We are still getting to know Skye so we will update her information as we learn more about her, but she is such a sweet girl that we think that alone makes her a keeper. It may be that Skye has been mishandled by younger children. She appears to be very wary of them. We will be looking for a home with understanding adults/young adults who are willing to limit her exposure to younger children. Her perfect home is one where she gets plenty of hugs, learns new things, goes for long walks or hikes, and has no children under High School age in the house. She would more than likely enjoy doggie companions. We do not know about cats. Her first experience at Adoption Clinic showed her to be fine with High School age kids, as demonstrated in her crawling into multiple Volunteer laps! This pretty girl is just waiting for her special family to find her. Could she be on your Wish List?
