Contact Kate at kmolsbe@gmail.com or (505)291-9786 for more information about Ari.
Sweet, little Ari has sure had a rough start in life! Found on the West Mesa on February 15th, she and her 2 siblings had been abandoned at just 4 weeks of age. It is a wonder they survived at all. Brought to the Bernalillo County Animal Care Shelter, all of the pups were covered in scabs and diagnosed with sarcoptic mange and underwent weeks of treatment to cure. Now healthy and ready for her new life, Ari has transitioned into foster care wonderfully. She is incredibly sweet and, once comfortable, very cuddly (as you can see from her photos). As a typical puppy, she also likes to play and play so would do best in a home with another playful dog who can also teach her how to be a good adult. She would enjoy school age children that are old enough to handle her correctly as she is still small and fragile. We expect her to be under 20 pounds at full growth. She is working on her potty training and still has some shots to go as well as her spay which will happen on May 24th. She will be at PetSmart at our Adoption Clinic on Saturdays. Come meet this precious little one!
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
