Hi There! My new name is Everest - different, huh? My new foster family named me that because I can CLIMB! Yep - I can scale a puppy pen with no problem whatsoever - can probably do a baby gate as well, but that's just because I want to be out exploring the world and hangin' with my doggie buddies! I am a sweet and social little guy, and at just 10 pounds, not a very big one either. I came from the Bernalillo County Shelter - was returned because I liked to chase the outdoor kitty. Well, kitties run and terriers like to chase - what is so wrong with that? I am now living with an indoor kitty who stands her ground, so I am doing OK with that. Besides, she is bigger than me and I am no dummy - so I won't press my luck there. I think I would love to have another playful dog in my future, though, rather than a cat. I am sleeping in a crate, doing well on my potty manners, am up-to-date on all my shots, and microchipped. I get neutered (ugh!) the week of July 1, so will be ready to go to my Furrever Home shortly after that. Come meet me at PetSmart Adoption Clinic soon or call the nice lady listed above for more info on me!
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
