My name is Gigi and I am an adorable blonde Chiweenie with a TON of personality and energy to match. My Foster Mom says I am a good girl, too! Here's a page from my daily diary in case you'd like to know what my life is like: I sleep quietly in my crate all night for 8-9 hours. When my Foster Mom uncovers the crate in the morning, I come out for pets, and we go outside to potty in the yard. Then I play with my toys 'til breakfast is ready. I do "sit" and "watch me" when my food bowl is put down - isn't that what good girls do? I'm also a good eater. After breakfast I go for a walk in the neighborhood. I'm not the best walker so my Foster Dad bought me an Easy Walk harness, and I'm learning not to pull. I have learned the neighborhood and when my Foster Dad lets go of my leash when we are close to home, I run all the way back on my own. When I get home from walks, I like to zoom around the yard and house. I am very comical. After that burst of energy, I like to sun myself in the yard or nap in my bed. I love to go in and out the doggie door and take my toys outside because all toys love to be outside, don't they? I love, love, love to chew squeaky, fuzzy toys 'til all the stuffing comes out - what fun that is!! I like to ride in the car. Some afternoons my Foster Dad takes me to the dog park where I like to play with the other dogs, and I run faster than all of them. Other days we go for a long walk/run. One day I ran 4 miles! Then I come home and nap and play 'til dinner. I would love to have a canine companion to romp and play with in my Furrever Home. I don't mind cats, but they don't play. After dinner, I snuggle with my Foster Papa and watch TV, especially sports, and sometimes we both fall asleep. After TV time, I go potty in the yard. Then I get my nighty on and have a bedtime cookie in my crate. My foster mama covers my crate, and I go to sleep. Next day, repeat, repeat, repeat. I love my foster life but really would like my Furrever Home in time for Christmas. I promise to be the BEST little girl you could ever have! I am up-to-date on all shots, spayed, and microchipped. My Foster Mom says I am READY - are you ready for me?
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
