Misty is an adorable little girl who was found wandering as a stray in Bernalillo County. When picked up, she was covered in burrs which the nice folks at Bernalillo County Animal Care removed for her. She was terribly frightened in the shelter but has made great progress since coming into foster care with NMAF. She is a bit shy with new people and dogs, but warms up quickly. Within a couple of hours she was playing with stuffed toys, which she loooooves, and zooming around her new yard. She looks a lot like a floor-mop in her current picture, but stay tuned for her "after" photo when she gets groomed! We expect she will be a beauty! The shelter had her age listed as both 10 months and 2 years - an exam by our vet should help pinpoint that a little better when she is spayed the week of August 11th. She is up-to-date on all shots and microchipped.
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
