Contact Kate at kmolsbe@gmail.com or (505)291-9786 for more information about Peanut.
Peanut is a sweet little guy just looking for someone to love him. He is bigger than a typical Chihuahua - we think there is some Heeler in him that gives him his freckles & spots, which he has ALL over! Those BIG ears are all Heeler as well. He is a self contained little man, a bit shy at first, but if you have a comfortable lap and a treat in hand, he will warm up quickly. He spends many a Saturday perched on Mike's lap, one of NMAF's great volunteers, snoozing and enjoying being petted. He barks only when there is a reason, runs happily to you when it is dinner time, sleeps in a crate, uses a doggie door, and is potty trained in the home. At about 4 years old, he is beyond the puppy stage, still should have some exercise daily, but is content to just be with his people. He is fostered with multiple other dogs and does fine. He is up-to-date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. If you are looking for a great "Little Buddy" to hang with, come check him out at our Adoption Clinic!
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
