Snickers - Adopted
Female
Border Terrier / Yorkshire Terrier mix
Born 2016
Contact Kate at kmolsbe@gmail.com for more information about Snickers.
Snickers came into NMAF through the Bernalillo County Shelter where she had been picked up as a stray. She was in foster care but escaped from her foster (we think she must be a little "adventurer"), was found by the City of Albuquerque and taken back to Bernalillo. She appears to be a Terrier mix - we think Border & Yorkshire Terrier. She is long-legged like a Border with coloring like a Yorkie. She weighs under 10 pounds. She is very sweet with people and gets along well with other dogs - big or small. She enjoys playing and cuddling. She is a "gourmet" dog meaning she is a bit of a picky eater - or maybe it is just discerning...so far chicken is her favorite! Snickers is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested (negative) so at this point she is just awaiting her Furrever Family to find her. She would love a home with another playful dog and, based on her history, a secure yard. As NMAF does home visits as part of adoption, we will advise her potential family of any security issues to keep her safe. She is learning the doggie door so will need some continued instruction and training. We do not know about young children or cats at this time, but that can be tested. Come and meet her at PetSmart on Academy, Saturdays 10-1, and be prepared to fall in love!
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
