Thorin was abandoned when he was a kitten in the backwoods of the Kiamichi Mountains in southeast Oklahoma. A kind family found him, hungry, emaciated and frightened, and took him in. He was neutered and named after Thorin, leader of the Company of Dwarves from The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Recently the rescuing family moved to Albuquerque and took him along. Alas, their big family of pets is bursting at the seams, and they must find a new home for Thorin.
Thorin is playful and sometimes a little mischievous. He loves to cuddle, has a very sweet personality, and the softest fur you can imagine. He crawls in bed with you at night and snuggles up. Or he might try to steal your pillow. Either way, he really loves attention and gives lots of love in return. Soon after receiving a few strokes, he will flop over for a good belly rub!
He is also dog-friendly as long as the dog is cat-friendly. He will probably get along with most other cats as well.
P.S. Thorin and Loki, his feline housemate who was also rescued by the family, get along together, but they are not inseparable. (Please see Loki’s profile on our website.)
