Bella - Adopted

Contact Kate at kmolsbe@gmail.com for more information about Bella.
Bella is a beautiful mix of a girl with a soft, silky coat, warm, attentive eyes, a sweet affectionate nature, and a smaller stature. At only 24 pounds, she is a wonderful small-medium size and an interesting mix of her breeds. She came to NMAF in a roundabout way, abandoned by her owner. She had no shots or microchip and has not been spayed yet, but all that is being taken care of through our organization. At first meeting, Bella is shy, but her sweetness shines through and she responds well to soft touches and kind words, giving kisses to those she knows and trusts. She will take time and patience, but her family will be rewarded with a faithful life-long companion. At only 1 year old, she has a long and happy life ahead of her. She sleeps quietly in a crate, is learning to interact with the bigger dogs in her foster home and explore her new surroundings. She has now had all her shots, is microchipped, and will be scheduled for spay soon, though she can go to a new Forever Home under Foster-to-Adopt status (ask us about that). She would do well in a home with another calm, quiet dog that can help guide her and teach her, and older children should be fine. She will benefit greatly by formal training when she is settled and comfortable. We can recommend options to her adoptive family. Come and meet this wonderful girl and make her part of your family!
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
