Benjamin is quite the handsome fellow! Believed to be a pure-bred Yorkshire Terrier, he is as cute as a button and is a happy little fellow once he gets comfortable in his new surroundings. He came to NMAF as part of a 3 Yorkie owner surrender (with brother Turbo & sister Razzy) when his owner took ill and needed to downsize the number of dogs in the home. In his former home (4 Yorkies), he was the pack leader so will need to be an only dog or, if placed with other dogs, needs companions that will be submissive. He is approximately 13 pounds, so not a teacup Yorkie. He is social with other dogs and affectionate once he settles in. He needs a secure yard and an owner that is savvy about door dashing as we still consider him a potential flight risk, most likely wanting to get back to his littermates.

Due to the Governor's stay at home order, it may not be possible to meet him right now and will be at the discretion of his foster. His adoption fee is $195 and he will not be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque-Santa Fe area.
