Chester is an affectionate cat. He will lounge in your lap for hours and loves to be stroked and held. He's also a good bed partner, a welcome addition on cold nights.
Chester's a quiet, mellow fellow who began his life in the calm home of two elderly ladies. After both of them went to heaven, there was no one to care for Chester properly. A kind neighbor took Chester in and gave him much-needed veterinary care, which included extensive dental surgery. He was later taken into the NMAF foster program.
We recently learned that Chester has poor eyesight due to a problem with his retina. This restricted vision makes him move carefully and cautiously as he jumps down from high places. He is agile and moves gracefully, and he jumps up on the couch or the bed with ease.
Chester uses the litter box perfectly and he enthusiastically gives his scratcher and cat trees a lot of good clawing. He likes to chase gently wiggling ribbons and strings, and he sometimes gets excited about catching them on the fly! Chester is also good with other cats. He follows his foster brother around the house and they like to play hide-and-seek! He is longing for a family of his own.
