Meet Daisy - the prettiest little girl EVER! She has beautiful black & tan markings and a sweet temperament to go with it. Daisy was a Protective Custody case who would up at the shelter. Protective Custody means she came from a home where there was either domestic violence, jail time, or neglect & abuse. She was quite overwhelmed when she came to NMAF recently but with a wonderful, quiet, new foster mom, has really started to blossom. She loves to sit on your lap or right next to you seeking company and, at just under 15 pounds, can still do that. She is a sturdy girl true to her Dachshund breed. We are not sure what she is mixed with, but her Doxie attributes shine through!
Daisy is up-to-date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested (neg). She is potty trained and sleeps in a crate. She would do fine with other dogs, though due to her size probably not big rambunctious ones, and she is still young enough to be playful. She just needs time and patience to adjust. Cats are an unknown as are small children. Would you like to make her your Christmas pup? She can be visited at her foster home so if interested in meeting her, please contact the person above.
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
