Heidi - Adopted
Female
Yorkshire Terrier mix - 16 lbs.
Born 2018
Contact Kate at kmolsbe@gmail.com for more information about Heidi.
Heidi is the sweetest and happiest little girl now that she is out of the shelter!! Found as a stray in Valencia County, she was covered in massive numbers of ticks when she came to NMAF. Now free of them and sweet smelling, she is ready to start her new life very soon. Heidi will be spayed on September 10th and will be available for final adoption by approximately September 15th, but she can be met before her spay date and applications will be accepted and reviewed so she can go directly to her new home when ready. We have not quite figured out what mix of terrier breeds she is, but there is evidence of Yorkie in her with the grey highlights on her back. She is a low-rider, short-legged and sturdy at 16 pounds but not overweight. She has a happy disposition and is social with other dogs and all people. Cats are an unknown. As you can see from the pictures, she loves children and looks blissfully happy in her foster brother's arms. She is up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested (negative), and microchipped. She will sleep in a crate and is doing well on her potty training. She would do best in a home with another social dog or two and perhaps some school-age children.
If you are interested in meeting Heidi, please complete an application and send it to the person listed above. There is no commitment or guarantee for adoption, but your application allows for screening before setting up a meet & greet with her foster family.
Because home visits are required, NMAF dogs cannot be adopted out of the greater Albuquerque / Santa Fe area.
