Benjamin is truly a mellow fellow. An adaptable cat, he makes himself at home with people of all ages and with other cats, too. He and his best feline friend, Chewbacca, lost their home recently because their adoptive family developed a serious allergy to cats. This was sad for them, but the boys are now living contentedly with their foster feline friend, MewTwo, and their new foster family. All three cats get along well and sometimes play together.
Benji is a hugger. He reaches up and throws his arms around your neck! He is an equal-opportunity cuddler, showering his affection on everyone, from adults to babies. (See below.) Imagine Dr. Mike's surprise when Benji gave him a big hug while Dr. Mike listened to his heartbeat! All of us burst out laughing, except Benji. It was a serious hug.
His second-favorite pastime is lounging in the sunlight, or sprawling out lengthwise on the back of the couch, all 16 pounds of him. And that brings us to his appetite. It is gargantuan, and he could certainly stand to lose a few of those well-deserved pounds. The doc thinks his weight would be just right at 12 pounds. He is a large cat.
Benjamin loves to chew on toothbrushes. (What a smart cat he is.) He may enjoy and will truly benefit from daily or at least weekly tooth brushings.
