Nugget is an adorable little boy who came from the Valencia County Shelter where he was abandoned by his owners when they had to move and did not want to take him. The shelter reached out to NMAF as soon as he arrived as the poor little guy was just terrified. His first week in foster care has seen him venture, only seldom, out of his crate - he is completely unsure and still quite timid but, when he wants affection, he is a true lover! We believe he may have been isolated to a crate or small space his entire life but think, given time and a patient person to call his own, he will emerge a sweet & loving companion. He does not show interest in other dogs so would be fine as an only dog - perhaps as a companion for a still-active senior or couple. He is sweet and easy to have around. He will be neutered on December 17th and receive the rest of his medical requirements at that time so could be ready to go to his new home by Christmas.
