This handsome, young, Ginger Tuxedo Tabby was rescued with his mom and siblings when he was about five weeks old. His mother was feral and the kittens modeled her behavior. Gradually, they became curious about the humans who took care of them. Charlie, the biggest, was the first to volunteer to have a good brushing and nail trim (honest!), though he's still somewhat independent. But he is very friendly, still loves a good brushing, and loves the company of others.
Why "Charlie" as a name? To his caregivers he looks so dapper they could see him with a bowler hat, spats, and a stogie. The truth is, he is a sweetie who is affectionate with his humans.
He's a healthy cat with a beautiful, shiny coat. He has learned his social skills of devoted scratching post use and perfect litter box etiquette.
Charlie gets along well with new cats when they arrive. But he is a dominant cat, and we think that he will be happiest as the only cat in a one-cat household. He's comfortable with dogs, though, and has lived peaceably with them in his foster home since he was a kitten.
Charlie is looking for a loving home where he can get lots of one-on-one and play-time with his family!
