My name is The Kid, but everyone calls me T.K. I was named after a Charlie Chaplin movie where the Little Tramp finds an abandoned baby boy. And that is just what I was. Mom apparently went hunting never to return, leaving my sister and me cold and hungry. We cried until some nice people picked us up and brought us to NMAF, where we got a foster mom with two legs instead of four. She taught us how to eat like big cats, where the litter box was, and other feline manners. We now know how to eat neatly, always use the litter box, and sharpen our claws on scratching posts.
It took a little time for our personalities to develop, what with hunger and thirst being paramount. At first, we were so hungry that we plunged right into the plate of food with all fours, making a mess of ourselves and everything around us!
After a while, it became clear to my foster mom that I am indeed a BOLD kitten. For instance, I wasted no time marching right up to the three large adult cats in the household with the clear intention of including them in one of our kitten games. Alas, they sent me off unceremoniously, to go play with my sister.
I have also met two dogs! I'm told they were small dogs, but they sure looked big to me. I was a little wary of them. I followed them at a discreet distance so they couldn't sneak up on me. Maybe next time I see them, I will try playing with one of them. As you would expect of someone named The Kid, I need a playmate. My sister, Chaplin, would be ideal.
