Buttercup is going to love you hard. When you return home, she's going to ask you why you've been gone so long and will wait patiently for her moment to climb into your lap for cuddles. Yes, she will quickly forgive you for your absence.
Buttercup is a beautiful blend of independence and playfulness, while still being affectionate and sweet. She asks to sleep under the covers with you nearly every night. She will remind you politely that, yes, it is time for her food. She has the best litter box manners! She loves to work out on her scratching posts and her big cat tree and politely leaves the other furniture intact.
Buttercup has become comfortable sharing her home with her foster mom's sweet dog, Belle. She graciously allows Belle to snuggle nearby. She watches Belle to make sure she's on her best behavior. Both girls like to keep a drama-free house, so they curl up in their beds and just let each other be.
Buttercup really prefers to be an only child, and she gives the love ten kitties would! She'll be great in a quiet home with one or two people who live a relaxed lifestyle. She is friendly to strangers - after all, a lap is a lap - and will warm up to them at her own pace. But she knows who her own people are. She would not be a good fit for a rowdy household or one with small children, or a home in which her parents are gone most of the time.
Buttercup was born to be a loving companion kitty, and we hope you might be just the family for her!
