Lucy is a four year old Heeler (cattle dog) mix and she is the perfect furry friend for someone who wants a dog that is mellow yet still has spunk At four years old she has mellowed out of her puppy years but still has enough energy for a good play romp or a long walk. She is very social with both dogs and people and will greet new friends warmly with lots of wags & kisses. She appears to love children and is gentle around little ones as far as we can tell.

Lucy was a previous camper at Camp Bow Wow and has been exposed to many dogs of different breeds and ages. She gets along fantastic with other dogs, both small and large. Lucy would most likely not be suitable for a house with cats, for she has a high chase reflex.

Lucy is great on a leash and will need regular exercise to stay both happy & healthy. She knows how to sit, shake, lie down, and even catch her treats! She is very bright and seems to be a very quick learner. She is also house trained and has yet to have any accidents in her current foster home.

While Lucy is very well behaved while home alone for short periods, she can get bored so would prefer a family or person who is home or works from home, or a dog buddy for her to hang out with around the house when her family is away at work. Lucy really just wants a forever walk where she’ll get lots of love, belly rubs and affection, and love from her special person or family. Her sweet face matches her personality perfectly!!

Lucy is spayed, up to date on all shots and is microchipped.
