A sweet and gentle soul with the willingness to explore the world but still too shy to tackle all there is to offer - he loves to be held and cuddled and will stay as long as you want - each day he makes a greater effort to be more courageous and is enjoying all the new experiences - he now jumps onto the couch with us and will even lick our hands and sometimes our chin - he runs alongside the other dogs but does not yet engage in active play with them - he follows their lead if they bark at the dog over the fence, but is otherwise quiet and retiring - he is still easily startled and runs back to his crate and safety - house trained and only mark rarely - will almost always come to his name and is easily engaged if the pack of dogs are not there as well - learning to be on a leash, but needs work with this since he tries to get away when startled - he would do well in an all adult, quiet home with guardians who can provide lots of patient and loving attention - a resident dog should be friendly and not dominant - his body language says he is strong and confident on the inside, but has not had he opportunity to practice his full potential - you will be well rewarded for your efforts - he is the butterfly in the cocoon.
