Sunshine is an orange tabby short-haired male, DOB approx. 06/09/08: "Hello! My name is Sunshine, and I’m a handsome neutered male orange tabby. I was rescued from a feral colony, and the NMAF volunteers who trapped me thought I might be too old to tame, so they prepared me to be released back to my colony. That’s why my left ear tip is clipped. I fooled them, though. It took me a few weeks, but I learned to trust humans and quickly came to adore them. I don’t like being picked up, but if you’re sitting on the couch your lap is mine, or if you are in bed, I’m there! I love to play, whether it is alone with random toys or with you at the end of a feather wand toy. I prefer having other cats to play with, as well, so if you do not have other cats, please consider adopting another cat to keep me company. Even better, consider adopting my very sweet foster brother, Zoom Zoom! Keep in mind that I want to be top cat. I am trained to use scratching posts. My favorite scratching posts go all the way to the ceiling because I love the exercise! I have not had much experience with dogs, but on the occasions that I have interacted with them I’ve been very interested. If you meet me at the adoption clinic, you may notice that I do not always look happy, but let me ask you this: Would you be happy sitting in a cage for two days out of every week when you could be at home running up and down that scratching post? Please keep me in mind during your search for a new kitty companion because you’ll find that I make an endearing pet that fills a void in your life!
